Hi everyone,

I need to go see a doctor for a general check up and I would like to know what is your experience with Quiron Hospital or Excellent Medical? I can't decide between those two and would like to avoid useless doctors.
Thanks!

If u r a resident give your local GP a visit and get your routine check up for free, it's always worth developing a connection with your existing health services.
You don't need a great deal of knowledge of Spanish to make a doctor understand you want a routine check up.
Good luck anyway

I would highly recommend Quiron as I use them for all sorts and have been very pleased.Only thing I would say is you my end up seeing several specialists to make your review complete.
personally I would avoid the excellent medical centre, I had a bad experience there and have heard some bad reports about it, but each to their own.

I think Excellent Medical is better than Quiron hospital because it provides the best services regarding health problem.

I would never go to Excellent Medical again, I went for an Eye Test because I have Glaucoma and also get the aura associated with migraine, I just couldn't go to a shop that sells Glasses as most don't do a pressure test and ended up paying over 700 Euros, was told i needed to see a Neurologist, then sent for a Brain Scan, Blood Tests that cost 198 Euros. I just felt like they were using me as a money making machine.

I had a very good experience at Excellent Medical, I was very ill a few months ago and they sorted me out pronto. However, Im not sure I would totally trust them not to rip me off for a lot of tests I don't need, if they knew I had insurance for instance. I had treatment over 4 days that cost €375, at the time I was a bit taken aback by the cost but in retrospect I think it was actually very good. Mine was for a recurring chest condition that generally knocks me flat for 4 to 6 weeks at a time, but after the treatment I had there I was very much recovered after a week, and it hasn't been back even when I went down with flu over Christmas.
