Has anyone any idea if there is a book shop in Tenerife (preferably the south) which sells English books? I am wanting to buy a good English-Spanish dictionary, preferably a Collins.:)

There are two book shops both walking distance(3min) from church sq, and both will have a dictionary. Ask for libreria at church sq and u will easily find one of them. If u have a smart phone download google translate and u get all what u need.

There is an international bookshop also in Las Americas, on the pedestrian way to the Casino. You will find lots of English books (secondhand books) at a cheap price.
They can also help you with the check-in online and print your boarding pass. It is a cosy place. Worth a visit!
