So I am getting the bus to go and and see JungleJim on Saturday what is correct pronunciation of San Eugenio. we usually call it San U geenie but don't think bus driver will understand:eyebrows: especially on the way back :drunks2:
JJ what number of bus & time around 13.45 will take me direct from Los Cristianos

Why on earth would you get the bus back from san u geenie to go back to san u geenie when you are in san u geenie ?

Not yet but its happy hour all the time here at Lower GDS, and at least i can pronounce that correctly even late at night (i think):flatcap:

Hi AJ ,donīt get 111/110 as it terminates at Bus Station - all the buses at the bottom end of the stop in Los Cristianos go to San Eugenio - remember and bring bawbees as Sean is hoping to come and heīs a thirsty bugger !!

have you heard of that other island "Ellie Yerrow" BWAHAHAHA that's how they pronounce El Hierro on the British radio station

Oh and hubby loves the "Ferreteria Goyo" advert, but since someone on here said pronounce it "ferret in yer ear" my hubby now says in a sort of English accent "oh it's the ferret in yer ear Goy-yo advert" hahahaha

San ehh-ooo-henny-ohhh (say it slowly, then say it quicker and quicker)

do you mean a gua gua (pronounced wah wah) it's the Canarian word for bus - not used in Spain there it's an autobus

Another example of different words for things is 'carro'. In European Spanish it is a truck/cart/shopping trolley etc. In American Spanish it means a car!!!
