This place is lovely, it has really opened up the top floor of Pasarella shopping centre in Los Cristianos and is very popular with locals as well as tourists.

Basically you wander around the various food stalls and choose what you want to eat, it is cooked for you, then you take it to the vast seating area that has lovely views over the town.
Food is mostly tapas type small portions, but plenty of choices.

I do feel they are missing a trick by not having menus in English also, not because I feel they should but because so many northern europeans, not just British, plainly didnt know what to do or what to order.

There is a childrens play area next door and the bonus is the huge Tv screen they have at one end, the atmosphere for the world cup matches has been electric and the place has been heaving.
Last night the Argentinian fans had the drums going, klaxons sounding etc and it made for a good night with atmosphere, people of all nationalities enjoying the game together.
Whether they will show just Spanish football in winter or Premier league as well I dont know.

In summing up, it is somewhere the whole family could go, nice atmosphere, good food and just that bit more of a local Canarian feel to it all as a change from El Mirador strip opposite it.

Really hope it continues to do well. Think it is open 10am to midnight every day.

Agree it's a really good place ....I watched the Brazil v Chile game there a few Saturdays ago and the atmosphere was electric. Food and drink prices really reasonable too. There was quite a crowd all in Brazil shirts that night having a right party, brought their own music which they played at half time all adding to the occasion. Wouldn't have wanted to be there last Tues though when Brazil had that terrible defeat!

I bought a Gin and Tonic there two weeks ago and it cost me €8 .....gulp!!

I didn't like the idea that you buy a beer or wine also shorts all from different bars. You cant buy them all at once at the same bar, very odd. Apart from that its a nice place. Its been there for about six months now.

I really like the idea of buying different drinks from different bars and same for foods, means everybody can have their own selection. From memory, a glass of wine was 1.50- 2.50 euros a glass, depending on type but there were some excellent Riojas and Cavas available which at 2.50 we were happy with, large bottle Rekorderling dry cider 3.50 euros, tapas portions were approx. 3-4 euros, choice was plentiful. We would definitely return. Obviously as its rooftop the views are great and seating area was shaded or in full sun, didn't have any small children with us but plenty did and these seemed to be looked after by staff though don't have any idea of cost. For any parents though wanting a break from kids and pleasant lunch I would think this is great.

I think also each bar specialised, so the bar selling beers had good variety to choose from, same with the wine, then there was one doing cocktails and another teas and coffees I think.
I also like the idea. Which bar had the wine at 1.50 by the way?? I had a small glass of very mediocre house white for 2.50. rolleyes2:

Don't know the name of the bar but it was directly behind the one nearer the seating area which I think had only beers and lagers. The wine bar also sold by the bottle which probably worked out cheaper than by the glass.Back for a visit next week so I'll take a closer look.:)

This review makes a refreshing change. Not least because the OP doesn't mention money.

It's nice to see that not everything is based on how much you can screw out of somewhere or how you could have got three vodkas for the price of one next door..we all know where you can do that....This is about someone actually recommending somewhere for the right reason..They enjoyed it..:tiphat:

No its been there since about just after Xmas. I just think its odd that you have to go to different bars for mixed drinks. I was gone ages just to get two drinks. Its very popular and has been said, spectacular views.
Don't know if it will quieten down after the footy.

to be honest that €8 translates to about £6.50? and with the size of the measures they give over there doesn't sound to bad, when i order a drink for my wife i have to get 2 glasses so we can mix them ourselves because they are far to strong:laugh:, and i have never sat in a bar with just one drink all night far to the disappointment of my wife:laugh:

Mmn interesting comment. But not a million miles away are bars that sell G&T for 3 or 3 and a half euros. And as strong as you would ever want.

It's refreshing to see a new project in Tenerife being run by Spanish people and not get rich quick British people who think that all you have to offer is cheap booze, plastic seats and 2nd rate entertainment.
It's a asset to the area.

It's a asset to the area.there are quite a few places that billy and linda (a couple of friends on our complex)use that are spanish owned, the old chicago's (is it sun and moon)? and next to r&b's, and el pincho's? the first bar and restaurant you come to on san telmo coming from the chill out bar, they rave about the service in both places, maria goes out of her way to make you feel welcome (we have never tried it because we are friends of richard and would feel awkward being seen in there with him next door) but she cooks food off the menu for them both and they very often have to take it home because there is so much, and at el pincho they give you tapas with every drink you buy, and billy has had to hide them in the plant pots or his pocket because it is to much for him:laugh:

It is on the top floor of the CC Passarella in Los Cris, above the Santander Bank, and on the top floor of what used to be the Spar supermarket, by the Blue Terrace bar, just up from Taylors Lounge etc, it is very difficult to miss.

There is no point, as according to nelson and other enlightened folk, the law will be changed and progress in the right direction will be made.:)

I'm not sure if it will make any difference to me or my cousin, who kindly lets me use her apartment for at least three months of the year.:raspberry:

I should mention, it's people like marbro8 who visit that particular location on numerous occasions that make both the supermarket and food hall a viable proposition, as they are the main sort of customers who spend their money there.
