Can anyone recommend a good camera shop on the island? I'm in the north but would be prepared to travel if necessary. None of those I've found so far seem to carry a wide range of stock.
For instance, I'm looking for a Nikon ML-L3 remote-control shutter release but so far haven't been able to find one anywhere in Santa Cruz.
Thanks for taking the trouble to read this post.

Try contacting someone on here like canarybird , 9PLUS who do a lot of photography - I'm sure they'll be able to advise .
What about Amazon.es

I see that Fotoprix has a Digipro compatible one in their catalogue. I've shopped there for lenses and if they don't have it in the shop in La Villa shopping center, La Orotava, (where El Campo is) they have stock in Sta. Cruz and can bring things in for you.
Fotoprix phone: 922 325307

Here's how it appears on their online catalogue:

The other place I shop for photographic material is Visanta in Puerto de la Cruz, Calle La Hoya.
Perhaps they would have one or a compatible. Phone 922 384 189.
Last time I bought something I dealt with Jesus, who was helpful and efficient.

Did you try Maya in Sta. Cruz?

Hope that helps.

Without a doubt Perceyfoto in Santa Cruz stocks the widest range of photography equipment.
