I'm actually shocked that no-one has commented on this yet so I will bump it up for you :tiphat:

Now a little bit of advice.... there are a lot of cheeky monkeys on here, so expect the normal naughty comments :spin::wink::eyebrows:

Oi ! I did actually refrain from posting something first thing ....woof woof:whistle::laugh:

I always feel it helps a new member settle in - a little bit of humour !

:welcome: from this cheeky monkey

If you are staying in San Eugenio Alto there are wild parrots flying around.
They'll probs wake you up in the mornings. :p

bit more to the right and those chifleta birds in El Fraile are a mare.

There's the Eagle park just past Chayofa - lovely in there - loads of different birds

seems to be a lot more since I was there - or from what I remember

Is it better for birdwatching in north or south of Tenerife?

This birdwatching website (http://blog.birdingcanarias.com/2014/06/observar-aves-en-las-islas-canarias.html)recommends Teno Rural Park (http://www.webtenerife.co.uk/places-interest/other-natural-spaces/parque+rural+de+teno.htm) in the northwest as well as the pine forest (el Pinar) of La Orotava, in the north. Scroll down to the bottom of the page on the birding site to read the list of best bird watching sites in the Canary Islands.
