It looks like a band with big screens.....also the Chinese girls are busy selling their toys!:laugh:

The tourist resort and fishing harbour of Playa de los Cristianos, in the district of Arona, celebrates the festival of the "Virgen del Carmen" the first Sunday in September. On this day, the patron saint of fishermen is honoured by leading a procession across the harbour in a brightly decorated boat followed by a convoy of other boats. There is a wide range of events and a festive atmosphere that lasts for various days.

In 2005, a stone statue of the Virgin of Carmen weighing 700 kilograms was sunk, on purpose, near the beach, at a depth of 30 metres. There it remains with all its symbolic meaning.

At midnight the fireworks looked great and I even managed to get a few clear pictures using the screen shot on my ipad.
