ADEJE Council has given local farmers a lift by repairing 15km of agricultural pathways throughout the borough, including those in Taucho, La Concepción, Tijoco Alto and La Quinta.
The work was implemented following local requests for aid in this important sector of the town,
Councillor José María Álvarez Acosta said: “We are talking about the upgrading of a number of accesses and pathways in the upper reaches of the borough.
“The work in these zones will help access to farms which work primarily in the cultivation sector – fruits, vegetables, etc.”
He added: “We have also carried out work to contribute to the improvement of production in the local agricultural sector, with better access for tractors, which will help at harvest time for instance.”
The work was financed by the Council, to the tune of 10,000 euros, and was completed i over a four-month period n three phases.
