Will my paperwork need amending if I change the engine of my car in Tenerife?

I wonder if someone on the Forum can advise me. If a car needs a totally new engine would the
original paperwork for the car have to be amended. If so, what would i need to do, would it be a complicated procedure and finally would there be fees to pay? Many thanks for any information.

ITV are normally only interested in chassis numbers tallying.
I know of plenty on engine changes where no amendment has been made to the paperwork.

Thank you Lucky I took your advice. I rang Ashroautos, explained the situation and was given
advice and information from a very courteous receptionist. Thank you Ashroautos, the advice was much appreciated.
