Went up with a friend to the All Saints Church car boot sale yesterday morning in Puerto de la Cruz. Foolishly drove up with the car and then couldn't find a parking space even though we were early. Had to drive away and come back in a taxi. Local residents were there in force! Got some good looking home baking, scones, sausage rolls and carrot cake. My friend found for me a lovely little Indian brass camel, which will match the other two I have for my 3 kings Christmas decor. Also scored on a cast iron dutch oven and lid for 5 Euros! Had a cheeseburger at The Bistro and saw lots of friends. Fun Day.

Next car boot sale will be on Saturday November 1st and the famous Christmas sale (don't miss this one) is on Saturday December 6th. Remember parking in the Taoro park is very limited so come early if you're driving or by taxi.

Thanks Melm yes I have seen all those Skyline webcams and am happy to think that now I'll be able to see the washing of the goats and the sand paintings being made live from my desk! 

Yes that'll be good also the burial of the sardine. Maybe you would be good enough to let us know when these fiestas are on.

Melm the bathing of the goats takes place during the Fiestas of San Juan, on the 24th of June.

It's an old tradition the purpose of which is to clean the goats and rid them of parasites.

Watch

The sand paintings would be seen on the Orotava webcam during the June celebrations of Corpus Christi. (http://www.tenerinfo.com/fiestas-y-festivales/fiestas-del-corpus-christi-de-la-orotava)

At present I see the Orotava webcam is offline. Hope they get it back up soon.
