Hi.
When purchasing a car, if there are any outstanding fines etc, is the new owner liable to pay these debts.

you are liable to anything that is owed against the vehicle, so make sure you do a full check.

I just done a check with http://informestraficodgt.com/ and is not showing any outstanding debts on the Car, is this a reliable service
I don't know, but as its a trafico one can only presume that if they haven't got it right who will. Bought mine from a garage but got them to put in writing that the vehicle had no outstanding fines or debts.

This looks like a private site, that gets its information from Trafico. If you have a digital certificate and speak enough Spanish to navigate the DGT website, it looks like you could do it yourself anyway.
