Hiya. Does anyone know if a hire company in south Tenerife does not have a full tank policy? In other words you pay approx €80 for a full tank of petrol and if you do not use it all you do not receive any refund for what you didn't use. Thanks.

Autoreisen - you bring it back with the same fuel level you picked it up with.

See - autoreisen.es

as previouslly mentioned, Autoreisen. We use them several times a year and only once had an iffy car with a stiff gear change but managed to get used to it.

One time we picked up a car from Autoreisen at the airport and was told there was 1/2 tank of petrol, when we got in the car it was a less than this, so popped into the office in the 'carpark / holding area'' and they apologied and told us to bring it back empty and amended our booking to reflect this.

It turned out that here was enough petrol for our visit that meant we didnt have to put any petrol in !

I would not recommend GoldCar even though they now offer a 'refund' of unused petrol (minus a hefty service charge), probably due to them losing business and trying to get customers back - look at the reviewcentre.com to get a feel for what others are saying about them.
