Very captivating tie for both sets of fans ....
Can recall WBA being at Wembley 1968 against Everton we got beat...
Also recall Villa in 1977 League Cup v Everton which went to replay at Old Trafford
we got beat ...

Just been watching Preston. It's fine, would rather have had a home tie but anything can happen in the Cup, draw at Anfield then beat them at Ewood. Job done.:jumping:

I remember Villa beating West Brom in the semi finals in 1957, 1-0 at home after a 2-2 draw at the Hawthornes, and of course Villa went on to win the cup that year beating Man U 2-1.

When shoulder charges were allowed on the goalkeeper and they didn't roll around in agony when an opposing forward challenged them. Im not advocating deliberate charging now but surely they should be allowed to challenge for the ball in flight. If a goalkeeper is touched now it's like an audition as an extra in Casualty or some other medical drama.

We don't like Preston that much. Kept changing channels.
Quite happy with draw, although would have liked a home tie with my birthplace club Bradford.
We fear no one we are Blackburn Rovers. Bring on the scousers! You Everton boys be Rovers fans for the day?
