on the jobs front I am afraid unemployment in Tenerife is by far much worse than in any other European country and there are 1000s of people chasing the same jobs, with the benefits system being much less generous than the uk people are prepared to work for peanuts or less.
Tenerife is beautiful for holiday makers and or semi retired/ retired people with a private income/pension.
if I where in your position I would come with enough money to rent a flat and living expenses for 3-6 months which will give you enough time to see if you can make a living in this wonderful place, you may be one of the lucky ones that can make it
