So you have been subscribing to the same old guy for your TV channels, it is about time you got up-to-date. Here is how:

1) Get an android box from amazon,or worten sell them too but I usually like to get the best one by reviews on amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_p_72_0?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aandroid+TV+box%2Cp_72%3A419153031&keywords=android+TV+box&ie=UTF8&qid=1429038598&rnid=419152031

2) Once you have your box you need add some stuff. For UK follow this vid

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0qNaKf6psM

There are some great add ons for watching all your favourite TV shows and latest movies. Icefilms https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-ice-films-on-xbmc/ is one add I use, also for my kids watchcartoononline http://m.watchcartoononline.com/ ( i think it must be asian because they use singular, i.e bad grammar)

There is a nice piece of EU legislation which means all of this is legal, please read here

http://bgr.com/2014/06/05/streaming-movies-and-tv-shows-for-free/

It takes a few days to get used to but once you know how they work you can get all the entertainment you will ever need as long as you have an internet connection.

I tend to watch movies or something of general interest that I can seek out rather than watching the scheduled programs for the masses. I might get 30 minutes on a weekday and an hour or 2 over the weekend. Watch a lootttt less TV now than years ago. Farting around on the internet a lot more I guess.

I have to say i don't watch much now (even though its been my job for over 25yrs) its more background noise to me or a movie before bed...
I've done android boxes and still do, but i still think picture quality lets it down, unless you use private servers, public one's are forever changing, then the supplier get's constant phone calls, also ease of access i've fitted lots for our older generation, for me to look at there face's bewildered on how to use it...
That's why once people see my other system and how easy it is too use,the extra cost makes the difference, not to mention the quality...

i know he is not going to like this ,but the above post is the first one on here that is EXACTLY why IPTV is ideal for retired british OAPs and android boxes are ideal for LA Rappers, people who own old renault clios ,and homeless people

And yet they are generating more interest than whatever it is you're trying to sell?

There appears to be more against your system than for it....in fact, I can't see anyone in any these threads that is for it...

Is it any wonder though?.....Yesterday you thought it was funny to use Scousers and Polish people as the butt of your jokes, and today it's the turn of homeless people!...Seriously?..What's funny about that?

princessmonika im sure your not lion when you say you have more then 100%

I'm sorry, I don't wish to digress. There are threads for the weather in both countries if you wish to ask or report.

I'm only on this ( and your others ) to ensure anyone asking questions isn't given the impression that you're the only game in town...as you would have them believe.......

I guess people flogging TV should not really be allowed to post because of vested interests and impartiality. I started this thread exactly because I saw too much self promotion for basically giving you more or less the same thing you can get for free.

If there was a Forum award for the most pathetic and poorly scripted post, then the one above this one would be the guaranteed winner!:c2:

Still no-one can give the tourist and apartment owners who visit sporadically what they really want. Not every complex has WIFI. What we really want is to rent a WIFI system just for the time we are in Tenerife, whether it's a week or a month at a time. Swallows who stay all Winter will probably invest in having WIFI fully installed but the price of that plus rental adds a huge amount to a short holiday and a landline is unnecessary. Apart from other ID we can show our boarding passes to prove the length of our stay. Why is this so very difficult?

Agree, a large unfulfilled market, but as to how profitable for a supplier I don't know. Many local mobile phone companies now let you suspend your account when you are not in Tenerife, but as yet, not the TV suppliers.

Of course you can have wifi just when you are in Tenerife. But it will have to be via a dongle, or more correctly, a MiFi device using mobile telephone technology. No one is going to give you broadband via the telephone system for short periods. No one does it the UK either, there's no money to be made at normal prices. The dongle will work out quite expensive for anything more than e-mail and a bit of web browsing. Of course you need to be living somewhere with a decent mobile phone signal.

That really is the point, far to expensive for TV watching. As for the UK, as the prices for ADSL are either free for a year or a couple of quid a month, no one would mind paying if not in residence. I think one of the wireless companies in Tenerife are offering this service, although the quality and speed seems to be hit or miss.

I believe Orange have a scheme whereby you can suspend the fixed line and broadband for 7 euros a month by ringing up.
