THE delegation of power for Teide National Park management appears to have reached its final stage.
After a six-month delay, an agreement has finally been reached between the Canarian Government and Tenerife Cabildo, which has been submitted to the Ministry of Environment.
All that remains before the new management can be sent up is for a final Budget report to be agreed, and the signing-off from the Legal departments.
“Once you have both documents, the decree will be approved by the Governing Council,” said Pedro Cuesta, head of the Nature Protection regional executive.
He insisted this week that all parties had been working hard to make the project go forward, and there will now be just one overseeing board.
