Passport to travel within Canary Islands?

I'm currently waiting on my new passport do you know if you can travel within the Canary Islands without a passport using your residentia and photo ID?

Hi there,

Yes, normally you can travel with an official ID, like a Spanish DNI. If this ID is issued by a gouvernment and it identifies you is good,but not the driver license.
This is the general law, for all U.E citizens. Also you can ask the airline regarding this matter and what do they accept.
