What is this all about today in "Island Connections" on-line?

I thought the tunnel had already been completed and the only hold up was the completion of the Vera de Erques bridge which was recently reported to be in the process of being constructed on site.

I thought it was optimistic but the Last I heard the opening of the whole motorway extension was scheduled for next month!!!

newspapers!! . the TUNNEL they are tallking about is NOT THE ONES IN THE PICTURES these are in Santiago del Teide . they are talking about THE NEXT SECTION the Erjos tunnel which will link Santiago del Teide with El Tanque .here is the new road from ICOD to EL TANQUE been open a while now .by the way they are NOT MOTORWAYS (autopista) but a AUTOVIA which is a fast road .....

Thank you for the link. It is wonderful to see what has been completed so far from Icod to El Tanque.

I think I saw the picture and did not read the article carefully enough. It does state the tunnel is on the link from Santiago del Teide with El Tanque.

In this case perhaps we should get the "Autovia" from Adeje to Santiago del Teide this year as promised.
