Sorry can't give definately answer but it has been open when we've passed on way for a meal out, so suspect it is open after 7pm

there is also the emergency department in the new 'NHS' hospital near Chayofa just the other side of the TF1. By the looks of it this is probably the only department open !

Had to go yesterday as my wife needed medical attention and we went direct to the hospital rather than via the Los Cris medical clinic. Again take E111, passport and we were fortunate to have someone with us who could speak Spanish so not sure how we would have got on otherwise.

Great service, wife was on a drip for a while before being discharged.

However, one thing they don't have is equipment to remove a ring from your ever swelling finger ! You have to go to the local fire station in Las Chafiras and let the fire crew saw the ring off.

So after a quiet start to Sunday afternoon, we ended up finding the new hospital and the location of the Fire Station. Hospital staff and fire crew were all fantastic.

You simply slip a small key under the ring and saw it off with a small metal saw. Done it loads of time in the job.

Eddie, Could have done with you yesterday - sadly we didn't have a small saw but the bomberos did just as you described but with a small electric dremel saw.

The whole crew, who were in their gym at the time we arrived at the station, all came to have a look and chip in with comments etc, Lynn screamed a few times when the ring was getting hot but all ok in the end. They were excellant and when I offered them a little 'something' as a thankyou to have a drink with they flatly refused - 'its free, we are just doing our job'.
