So where do I find cheap appartments or hotel rooms to stay in when we arrive?
I saw online that there are some cheap rooms for like 22 euro's a night but I can't seem to find them when I google.
Can anyone recommend a good cheap one?

have a look at b&b's with trivago, they have rooms for £14, it all depends on which area you want to stay? the cheapest seem to be in and around santa cruz and puerto de la cruz

Hotel Puerto Azul (in Puerto de la Cruz) is currently charging 16 euros a night (single) or 22 euros a night (double). There is a further discount for stays over three nights.

I have stayed there several times. Although the rooms are basic, it's clean and comfortable enough. There's a nice outdoor space on the roof, and a lounge with TV and books. There's WiFi in most rooms and it works well.

As an alternative to hotels, a web search for hostels tenerife will bring up some cheap accommodation (sometimes in dormitories rather than private rooms).
