Migrating to Tenerife by car

I live in a right-hand-drive country. The car was bought new, by me, about a year ago. It's a Skoda Yeti.

Has anyone else brought a car in from mainland Europe, and how was their experience? What are the administrative hurdles, taxes and so on?

Any and all advice much appreciated! :-)
