Can anyone answer my query?
If a British National leaves a donation in their will, or even their entire estate to a charity in Tenerife, does the charity have to pay inheritance tax? Or are charities exempt?
This is of course if the will is made requesting your national law be applied to the inheritance (i.e. UK law). I know that Spanish Law states that close relatives have priority even over a Spouse, but you can state that your national law is to be applied meaning you can decide who your estate is left to.
