forum problems

has anyone had problems logging on earlier? i couldn't log in between about 6.00 pm and 7.30??? and i couldn't find our sub forum either. for those that don't know. the forum went off air a few times over the last few years and we had what was called a sub forum. it was somewhere we could go to log on in the event of this forum going off line. if someone could post a link that we could save on our computers. that would be great;)

Probably just a glitch or a quick maintenance patch up. Mods are not involved in any of the technical side so I'm as in the dark as you are.

Probably says it all when owners / admin don't even bother keeping mods in the loop, if they are not interested why don't they just move it on it to people who are interested in the Forum

What exactly do you want KB?

In fainess, since the latest round of mods arrived there's been little or no trouble on here. It's been explained that mods don't have any technical access and in the old days we wouldn't have even got that explanation.

It is my understanding but I may be wrong that one of the current mods is closely related to the owner / admin :whistle: so I am not sure how there can be an issue getting info to the great unwashed

I think if You leave too long a period it cuts off and exits You from the Forum..

Do you tick that little box by where you sign in - I find if that's not ticked it logs me out but not if it is ticked

To log on to the forum I type "Tenerife Forum" in the Google search box, then click on the Tenerife Forum option when it cones up, this normally brought straight on to the forum, but for the past month or so it brings up an option to download a "tapatalk" app link to the forum,,, I don't want the tapatalk link so click on the "X" to delete the add, but does it go,, No, just sits there, so after klicking frantically all around the page it usually decides to disappear, sometimes it don't and I just have to give up my attempt to view the forum...
So, one day I give in, I'll just download the bloody app and be done with it, so click the download button I do, and what do I get,,, a notice telling me "App cannot be downloaded to Safari"...
So anyone got a way round this one...

Sorry I'm not familiar with Safari but can I ask, is there a reason you go in via Google? By that I mean can you not just save the forum in your favourites? I don't know if that would rid you of the app problem but it might be worth a try....:tiphat:

I use Tapatalk on my iPhone and iPad, find it great, easier to post photos etc via tapatalk than on the pc. It's what you get used to, the more you persevere with tapatalk the easier it gets. Yes I've noticed that your photos are always better than mine. The forum only allows a certain size file and it's really restricting but I think when you do it your way it somehow scales it automatically.

Tapatalk gives you the choice of 2 sizes when posting a photo, I always pick the "best", it's as easy as posting a photo on Facebook
