Advice on long lets for relocating to Tenerife

we are relocating next july.
we are over xmas and new year on hloiday
is it worth looking for a long term let then ?.
we are also over in june to set up bank accounts nie etc.
was asking as it seems a lot of people are struggling to get long term lets.

Hi. I am relocating in November : I was over in July and got my NIE and bank account sorted. I also met with a long term rental agent ( but I will be living in Playa de San Juan). I used the time to walk the area and decide which area I wanted to live in but I couldn't start looking at available properties when I was there as the landlords invariably want the rental contract to start almost immediately. I kept in touch with the agent and in August was sent details for an amazing new apartment which I snapped up but I had to pay rent from mid September to secure it. I have been told that most properties tend to come up for long term rent in Aug/Sept. Good luck with your property search and the move!
