Hi. This is my first post! We are travelling to Tenerife for 2 months next year and wonder if anyone has got around the 31 days travel restrictions imposed by British insurers? Any suggestions welcome, my mother is 89 and we are in our 60's.

We use allclear.co.uk who offer no age limits. Based on your information you may have difficulty on the length of time you wish to stay. As you say most are 31 days. I would google rather than we comparison sites.

If you find someone please post as this would be useful for other members

My friends, who go to Tenerife for 3months over the winter, use Flexi travel. They have used this company for several years and seem pleased with cover provided.

Yes, we always use these. They cover us for 100 days.

We are jointly insured via Nationwide FlexiAccount...cover is for as many trips a year as we want, as long as they don't exceed 31days. The cost is £137 per year, this is due to my wife in the past as having three DVT's.....plus we are a pair of old farts.:cheeky:

Ecky, we are with Nationwide & if you do stay for longer than 31 days you can pay extra, can,t remember exact cost but wasn't expensive.

Just renewed our annual multi trip - max 90 days away at any one time, we are still both well under 66 (over 66 and its 31 days).

Daily Mail internet option (no we don't read the daily mail) with Insure and Go - only meds problems we both have is high blood pressure. European cover was £86.77 for the year in total for the 2 of us. Luggage and Money losses excluded.
