Hi, I got a notification on Facebook that La Karina restaurant has changed it's name??? Can anybody confirm this and if so is it the same people running it?

Where is it?it looks like it's opposite the travelers rest near veronicas strip. by the looks of tripadvisor i don't think we are missing much

Its around the corner from the la paz strip .. Its ok for an afternoon stop off .. Service a bit slow . My daughter enjoyed the burgers ... I assume its the same place the op is talking about

Yes that is the one, across from Travellers. Great to get your opinion marbro8 when you haven't even set foot in the place.

Yep we like it, decent food and entertainment. Just so we are passing on the correct information for marbro's peace of mind TripAdvisor rates it 48 excellent, 29 very good, 18 average, 5 poor and 7 terrible.

Well we used to eat at La Karina every time we were over but found both the food and service went downhill badly and have not been back since

Yes you would do well to give it a miss. We went to La Karina for more years than I care to remember . Yes it did get very busy and that is where they lost our custom . Food stated to come out in a hit and miss fashion . sometimes cooked sometimes not . It was a matter of cram them all in no matter what . On our last night , the pushy PR brought in 12 people to an already overcrowded place and the service then deteriorated into a complete farce. I kave never even contemplated going into the other one , they only get one chance with me I'm afraid too many other places to eat that want your custom.

Don't know about that I have spoken to many PRs over the years who said they earned more than the waiters inside or maybe they were taking the proverbial:wink2:

Well hopey on this forum the members go that extra mile to give you extra information over and above what you ask for. Now surely that's got to be applauded eh? Not only do you know that it hasn't changed name but you've had personal reviews, and believe me these people know what they're talking about when it comes to food! And not only that, look at all the friendly banter you get to boot!:tiphat:

Hi AJ, no unfortunately not, but we go over on 30th December so not long till we can walk past and find out, hopefully it'll still be there!

La Karina is still up and running in Las Americas near Tenerife Sol without mentioning that club area Las Veronicas,
(oopps done it again) as is their other restaurant if you are aware of Karina 2 ? in the walkway that backs onto Parque de la Paz opposite The Vulcano Hotel.....
Enjoy lad...
Never eaten in either myself, awaits any recommendations...though none have ever been noted before...
