Before someone comes on with loads of wise cracks Colin, going up the top of Teide is not for snow, blimey ........ It's to see the beautiful views of the Island and the other Islands. It's something you will never forget providing it's clear.

Might be difficult now but check the weather forecast or our webcams

I have been lucky enough to have been up with clear skies, as Malteser Monkey said the 360% views of the islands and lower parts of the island are fantastic. I have been up the top with the snow down on the ground it is a different experience if you are not use to snow i suppose. Also we were turned around once by the police after finding there was 4 inches of snow on the road near the summit.

Teide is "Always" worth a visit, there are very few places on Earth where you can see the stunning views and pack some snow
into a plastic box and then drive down in less then an hour and build a snowman outside your local bar
(Which is what we did). One question I have......I found a really lovely piece of Tiede rock which is now in my
living room display cabinet, have I broken any laws???
You may have violated my rocks !!!!!!!!!

If the Parque Nacional is short of rocks, I'll donate some of mine. I'm sure andyfm's pet rock is being appreciated in its display case.

Maybe a daft qiestion but is there a small ski slope on Tiede?

Not an official ski slope, you just take your black plastic baggie and use any downslope you find! Make sure you stop before you reach the road!!

Been up last weekend. No snow at all. Loads of rain in La Orotava. Always fun to drive through the clouds.
