I have been unable to get through to any local numbers (when in Tenerife) on my mobile phone but had no problem ringing the UK. There is a message about 'number not being assigned'.

Been to 02 to see about it and they don't seem to know why not (useless) 😡
Someone has just told me that I shouldn't be ringing the area code. Is this what I've been doing wrong? Should I just be ringing the number with no code?

what are you ringing just use a for example number

nope don't need those numbers don't think you even need 922 just try the 6 digit number

So it was something really simple as that yet 02 asked me if I had used the area code and when I said I did they didn't query it!

I'm with Giff Gaff part of O2 , only use area code in Tenerife eg 922 etc and it works
