Since making this posting I am very happy to report that, from a completely different source, Spain currently has no law declaring that parents/guardians have a duty to maintain, financially, the costs arising from students continuing their education by attending University at ages far beyond the normal, say into their twenties or beyond! Hope this satisfies you.
