Cutting down trees

We have a pine tree which is about 8m tall. We need to remove it, however I had it in my mind there are some regulations regarding tree removal.

We are on rustica designated land in San Miguel

Can anyone advise.

Safest thing would be to ask your local Medio Ambiente. They will let you know if you need to get permission from them to take it down. I don't know much about it but we had to ask them when we took down a palm and had to get an officially approved tree surgeon to come and do it.

I trimmed back some branches but waiting for the town hall to confirm
