TRANSAVIA airlines, the “low-cost” arm of the Air France-KLM partnership, will offer 23% more flights in the coming winter season.
This adds up to a flight-capacity increase of almost 850,000 seats, compared with the 2015-16 winter season. And, according to the company, it will mean an extra 186 flights in the Canary Islands.
The company this year expects to reach 4.4 million passengers in Spain, which will mean a 20% increase.
This year, in total, Transavia will offer 47 routes from 15 Spanish airports to seven destinations in France, Holland and Germany, with a capacity of 4.8 million seats. That will add a total of 333 weekly flights from Spain to Europe.
Spain is the leading market for Transavia, as far as capacity is concerned. In 2015, it reached a load factor of 92% in the Spanish routes.

I would love to know what planes Transavia are using.

850,000 passengers on 186 flights is 4569.89 people per flight.

That is one big plane :airplane::airplane::airplane:

I suspect we have some creative reporting here. They are increasing passenger numbers by 850k for their winter season (for all of the routes from Spain to Europe) and as part of this increase this will result in an extra 186 flights for the Canary Islands.

Not sure what calculator your using but you need a new one.
So they state 850000 extra seats supplied by their business (not just canaries)
333 flights per week in total which equals 63 additional flights (23%)
so 63 additional flights for 52 weeks = 3276 additional flights per year
850000 additional seats divided by 3276 extra flights = 259
At a guess if they use a mix of 727 and 747 this will equate to approx. 278 additional seats per flight, therefore not a difficult equation.

Now it's your turn to "check Calculator"!

This increase reported is just for the winter season, so even if we agree your other figures, then it is a minimum increase of 556 seats per flight.

Transavia currently operate 9 737-700's and 26 737-800's, seating 149 and 189 respectively.

Three to a seat anyone?
