Advice needed about the best way to have internet for occasional usage in Tenerife

I have an apartment in El Mirador,Los Cris - bearing in mind I am not that technical is there a way I can get internet access only when I am out there? Otherwise I am paying a monthly fee when I am not there. Someone told me about a dongle thingy, someone told me movistar did something but the girls in the movistar shop baffled me with jargon....any help useful.:wink2:

You can buy a second hand "unlocked "dongle " on eBay -then buy a Sim card with data for a month - not particularly cheap but better than paying for when you´re not here!
