Afternoon

We usually holiday in the Fanabe area but about ten years ago we stayed in La Caleta. It was pretty quiet back then and there were only about three restaurants. Does anyone know if it's changed much recently?

Thanks Lee

Still a quiet residential area I would guess there will be a few more restaurants about now.

I am currently in La Caleta/Del Duque area and there are quite a few restaurants. The majority however are on the walkway alongside the cove itself, overlooking the sea. It's 8.45pm here now, I am sat outside in shorts with a glass of rose, watching the sun disappear.

It is quite beautiful.

We were thinking of walking up there this year along the coast for a meal. I've just had a look for one we went to all those years ago and think it was the Masia Del Mar. Beautiful place right above the cliffs in the bay overlooking the sea.

As it happens that was the restaurant we were taken to about 25 years ago for a first ever visit to La Caleta. Very nice it was too,Caleta is one of our favourite places on the island.

Been in Juan Carlos restaurant last time. The place inside is quite small but the outdoor is great! Would like to visit there next time.
