Firstly, apologies if this question has been done to death already.

So we are moving to the rock in July, we have our dogs passport, jabs everything done so just need to get her there.

The 'specialist' pet moving companies in my opinion are a rip off so not keen on that strategy but I see on the Thomas Cook and Monarch websites that they can fly a dog in the cargo. BUT, trying to book this is proving to be a nightmare, each company I called to book flights were not sure how to do it and passed me round to literally 5-6 different departments. I've given up now and coming here to ask if any of you have a number for either of these airlines department where I can book the dog on a flight. I'm happy to fly on the same flight or meet her at the other end as a friend can bring her to the flight etc.

Any help much appreciated!:dogwalk::dogwalk::doggy:

Friends of ours used Thomson flight to transport their wee dog from Edinburgh to Tenerife last month
They were happy with service
Also understand Norwegian Air flights carry dogs

Thankyou for your help, I don't suppose you know how much it cost them?

Apparently, it is possible to bring your pet in a cabin by a Norwegian Airlines. But, I heard the costs and procedures vary depending on which country your pet comes from. You have to apply also earlier because as far as I know, there's a need to process an application for your pet.

That's why there are specialist pet moving companies. Try petsathome@live.co.uk

Just a brief update for anyone wishing to bring a dog to Britain by air, I have been in touch with Norwegian Air and have been told by one of their reps, that they do not fly pets to Britain as Britain is outside Schengen.
