Moving Back!

Hey everyone

We are moving back to the island in Oct/Nov time and I wondered if anyone has any info on the below they could share with me?

1) Does an NIE expire? I got mine in 2010 but don't know if I need to re-register each year or not? If I do is it just the same process, go to the police station and the bank?

2) Is an Empadronamiento still required for shipping household goods in? And is it still the town hall we need to go to?

3) I want to buy a small boat to go fishing. Do I need a licence to drive/buy a boat and if so is there a school to learn in Tenerife? Also, any websites or dealers I could look at?

If anyone is letting a 4 bed house in the south from Oct / Nov onwards - please get in touch!

1) NIE is permanent, if you got a green one, you don't even need to extend it.

Re question 3. You will need a Titulación para el manejo de embarcaciones de recreo.
The basic one covers craft upto 6 mtrs.
These can be obtained locally. There is a centre recently opened in Los Abrigos.
