If you have android or ios device I would go for it. You pay the same amount as when using the 15€ ticket, but you don't have to buy it prior to your travel which is really handy when you have to run for the bus. Only thing you need is the data connection.

I would still carry one ticket as a backup in case something happens with your phone or your battery dies.

Do the bongos bought on via movil work for South bus lines? The app says that they are valid for Santa crus la Laguna Rosario and tegueste. Thanks

Yes, they do work on entire island. I think you are confused by the zones. Island is like a subway in London, you have different rates when you cross the zone, but everywhere on Tenerife you can use same ticket and same app, as all of it is serviced by titsa.
