Have just paid the non residents tax for myself and daughter as the apartment is in both our names. For a few years now the tax has been just over 28 euros each. This year it was over 41 euros each. Is this increase correct or has my accountant who charges 30 euros plus tax to fill out the forms made a mistake. I didn't check the amount until I got to the bank and I am going back to the UK tomorrow, so no time to contact the accountant.

Maybe delderek might be able to offer some help or advice.

Sorry bit out of touch, but sounds a lot less than I used to pay several years ago.

We only have a studio. Does this make a difference?

Yup. That would be the difference. Also I was charged 80 euros each ie 160 euros as joint owners for the form filling.
So I think you are doing well.

Hi Norjac, I need to pay my tax and could you give me your accountants details as it seems a fair cost to do the work

We paid 42 € each for a studio so that does seem about right. Your accountancy fees are also very good but for the last few years I've done my own form-filling on line and paid at the bank. It's not difficult and there's excellent advice from a guy on The Andalucia forum on how to complete the forms in addition to the English advice on the government website.

I was paying more in fees than I was in tax before I did my own!

Thanks for the advice. Can you tell me the website to download the form please. I would like to have a go myself.
