Fish shop to open at Lower GDS

I met the gentleman that is about to open a Fish and chip shop just around the corner from me , so at long last it looks like Lower GDS is on the up and he issued a challenge to which i think you good and great people of the forum are up to it.
So will let Mark take over.

I have seen so many Fish & Chips shops come and go in Tenerife, mainly because they think that anyone can cook it properly, (Scampis are of course the exception). they can't. Good fish fryers are very rare in Tenerife. But I hope this new one proves to be the exception.

English fish and chips.

Been a long time
since I have been in the U.K
and tasted crispy fish
battered to perfection.
Golden crispy
my mouth watering at the thought
the best fish comes from the north.

And which ever country
I go no one does it so well.
The chips are even tastier
must be the dark malt vinegar.

Accompanied by green mushy peas
I would get down on my knees.
The fish fried golden
the chips salted and malted.
Wrapped in newspaper
from the day before
I could not ask
for any thing more.

You can keep your steaks
and fancy meats
and cheeses that smell
of sweaty feet.
Not interested in
wines from far and wide.
Give me fish and chips
and a pint of bitter
by the side.

I think it's as delderek said, it's not only the quality of the fish that counts, its got a lot to do with the skill and experience of the person in charge of the fish fryer.
