Thanks...a useful link.

I unfortunately had the need for medical assistance in Los Cristianos and can only give praise to the help I received.

While on holiday a few weeks I had a badly swollen foot after stubbing it on furniture, I went to the clinic opposite the bus station in Los Cristianos. I produced my UK Passport, I was seen immediately by a doctor gave me a injection to reduce the swelling and then he strapped up my foot, he advised me that on return to the UK that I should visit a hospital for a X-ray. There was no request at all for any payment.

On our return home a subsequent visit to the hospital showed two broken bones....still very painful, but no further treatment needed.....as yet!!:)

Sounds good service then Ecky
My husband was desperately ill many years ago and we had very good care at the Clinic in San Eugenio
Cost a packet as a nurse escort was needed to get him home to local hospital, insurance thankfully covered

The only downside was that when I kicked the sofa, I was 101% sober!! :D

Who were you insured with ? I always have insurance cover and thankfully never had a claim. Until you have a claim you can't tell how good they are,,,,,,,,,,can you?

We've been with American Express annual indurance for years.....don't need to be an Amex cardholder to have insurance with them
That then a delayed case (my luggage did not get to Tenerife till the Friday after we arrived Tuesday) last year have thankfully been our only claims
