We've been doing a bit of research about moving to Tenerife to retire (a bit off yet admittedly !) and would be keen to consider Chayofa as an option.
Appears that better value for money and close to the main tourist areas, but far enough away for that traditional feel which we want.
Any pros/ cons ?

Hi Johnny,

We always stay in Chayofa for our holidays. I know it is only a holiday, but we never need to go into Los Cristianos or PDLA. There are so many amenities close by. Camella, there local shops and supermarkets and bars. Buzanada there are some lovely restaurants, as there is in Chayofa (Meson Finca) plus you are very close to the new hospital and a regular bus service.

Good luck and happy New Year.

Yup, and in the Winter months, it can get too cold for comfort.

It was because of the cold winter that we moved from Chayofa, our rented home had no heating and was much too cold. We moved to Callao Salvaje which was a lot warmer.
