Bus trips from Santa Cruz

We intend to book into a cheapie hotel in the centre of Santa Cruz and explore by bus from there some of the parts of the island we haven't yet seen.
Three nights' stay probably.
(We are based in GDS and stay here all winter).
We'd welcome some suggestions for day trips on Titsa buses.

Would be better off staying in Puerto de la Cruz, much better location, more to see and do IMO and can access as much from there by bus.

Thanks. Yes, that could be an option. We'd just like to see a few more places really.
We know and love Puerto so could base ourselves there instead.
Any suggestions?

Take a bus to Cruz del Carmen in the Anaga mountains and "take a hike" (short or long one) 👣. And I agree, Puerto is a better base than St Cruz.
