Buying a car in Tenerife

We are looking to buy a new or new-ish car in Tenerife. Most garages that we have found in the South are full of inadequate cars. Where is the best place for main dealers etc? Is it the North?

In an around Las Chafiras are a widerange of main dealers - ie ford, citroen, peugeot, honda, toyota, mercedes and probably others.

Last year we were looking to buy a 2-3 yr old car and ended up looking at new ones as they were 'only' a few thousand more.

You won't get a better bargain at the moment than a Dacia, we have had a Duster for 2 years from new and don't regret buying it at all, if you want a smaller car look at the Sandero.
