Spain has recently been included in investment residency and citizenship (business immigration) programs (https://newresidency.com/programs), which means that if you invest at least EUR 500,000 in real estate first you get a temporary residency, after5 years you can apply for a permanent residence and after another 5 years get a citizenship.
