Bringing a car to Tenerife

Looking for some information re, bringing a car to Tenerife, we will be returning to the Island early next year not sure how long we will be staying for but will probably be longer than six months, we brought a car out about seven years ago and felt we paid over the odds to have it put on to Spanish plates so I am looking for a ballpark figure for registering an Audi A6 sline Diesel 2010 model, any help would be very much appreciated.

I brought a rhd to the island cost 1398 euro s 2011 car to change over to Spanish plates
If you intend to stay on the island let me know
If it just for 6months or so
There is a insurance company in Gibraltar that will cover you for 12 month

Hi DJ it has been a very long time indeed, a lot has happened in the intervening years hope things are going well for you we are back in Eire not sure if we will remain here or return full time to Tenerife as our family is growing in numbers. Many thanks for the info we will be back in Tenerife in October for a couple of weeks and are planning a trip back from Cork to Santander then on through Spain to Tenerife we love the journey through Spain, very best wishes from both of us and hope you are still enjoying Tenerife.
