stargazing

Thinking of spending one night stargazing in december . dont want to be on a coach , would prefer to do this from a hotel with a meal and a few drinks . I read of somewhere a few years ago but cannot find this again , can anyone help or offer advice pls .

You can book into the Parador at the top a couple of miles from Teide and view from their surrounding - they have an expert who has a large telescope at the back of the hotel (I think he does his lecture on a Friday, check with hotel ).
We went up on Titsa Bus which stops right outside Parador , about €6.05 each way - the Hotel does a deal of lovely 3 course evening meal & Breakfast with room for around €90 each- one bus up & down each day 09:15 up and 16:00 back.
