What is the best way to get to Teide from Los Gigantes?

What is the best way from Teide (bottom of cable car) to Los Gigantes? would you go back through Arona and Las Americas or is there a better way? Thanks

Hi.
If you head back towards Arona there is a right hand turn about 4-5km from the cable car. This takes you through the lava field and the site of the last explosion (worth a stop to read the history). This road also takes you down to Los Gigantes. Its quite a pleasant drive with good views. Enjoy.

From Los Gig I would take the Tamaimo road, then go through Chio and onto the TF82 dropping down onto the 21.

I would guess approx 50 mins, but there are some fantastic views along the way which you may want to stop and look at. :)

I agree with Zara on both counts. It really is worth taking your time and enjoying the drive.
