HI,
Has anyone given birth in the North Hospital Candelaria
I'm 8 weeks away form giving birth to twin girls , and just wondered what do I pack in my hospital bag ?
I'm giving birth in Candelaria as it's high risk, I have been told that you don't need much as you would do in the UK as they give you most things ...... but Iv'e never given birth in the UK either LOL . don't want to pack too much .???

I have never given birth here but I understand that yes they do supply " mother and baby packs" given by a baby supplier.I beleive , they provide some milk, sanitary towels , few disposable nappies and some other bits and bobs.I am sure that someone who has first hand experience will be along soon to give you more up to date info.
Good luck and I hope all goes well.

i have given birth to my son in candelaria and it was high risk too. you only bring your toothbrush, a pyjamas, and the clothes for the babies to go home. they will have everything there, nappyes, milk, sanitary towels,,, they are vey helpfull.
Good luck!

Seem to remember that there was a comment before saying that no bottled water was available unless paid for from a trolley assistant so get your other half to have plenty for you!

Hi Krazy,I think you have nothing to worry about,my daughter like you had twin girls there about 8 years ago, they were born with disslocated hips and she was told to fit two nappies on them to keep their legs correctly set.She did what they told her because she did not know anybody else to ask,all I can say is that they know what they are talking about, the girls are perfectly ok and are 100% fine.Go and have your babies, good luck to you.

A little information why Candelaria is the best choice in Tenerife

If you decided to go elsewhere if there was anykind of complication you would be taken to Candelaria anyway.

45 minutes to an hour away in an ambulance is a long time.

They have nearly all the best specialists in Spain there.

THEY REALLY ARE SO GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO.

Thats the reality from personal experience

Enjoy

I agree with that , I wouldn't go anywhere else , when I first arrived on the Island 8 years ago I did go to the South , but after going to the North well so much better, as I said been going up there for about 3 years now and can't not fault them, even when I had to stay in for a few days , I mean I do have to speak Spanish but I do live in Tenerife !!!!!!!! only takes 30 mins to get there so not far .
