Ratha Yatra has been celebrated in Jagannatha Puri in India, during the months of June and July (rainy season) for thousands of years. It is one of the world’s oldest celebrations full of folklore and colour. In 1967 the first Ratha Yatra festival was held outside India and has since been held in major cities around the world Last year it was held for the first time in Las Americas, and it was such a success it is back again The main parade starts on the esplanade next to the Hotel Conquistador at 18:30 on Sunday 17th.
