View Full Version : Bus fire in Puerto Colon, Tenerife

A bus went on fire this morning down in Puerto Colon. Just as it was going through the barrier smoke was coming from the tyres and the next thing the whole bus went up in flames. Fire brigade took 20 minutes to get here, nobody hurt and no damage to anything except the bus..... you can see a video of it here.....

it was a paluper bus taking passengers to the tropical delfin boat, they all got off okay and for their return trip were greeted by a nice new shiny bus!

If each of those that had a mobile phone video in their hand had a bucket of water instead . . . . . it'd have been put out in 20 seconds !

There were hundreds of people about when it happened. Someone started to run down with a fire extinguisher but it would have done no good whatsoever at that stage. At one point the flames were almost as high as the car park and the bus was down on port level. There was a fire hose but in all honesty, nobody knew how safe it was and left it to the professionals. Even the bus driver beat a hasty retreat!

Does anyoneknow what happened in Puerto Colon today??...Police, fire engines, road to port blocked off etc There was definately a fire as saw the smoke Anybody?

Tourist bus taking punters to the marina caught fire and burned to a cinder. Fire brigade took 20 mins to get there. All the passengers got off.
