I have just returned from my holiday and when i go on to my facebook or ebay i get a very basic screen, the addresse bar has http in red with a red line through it and then has the padlock sign with a red cross on it.The main pages just shows writing and no graphics.
My kids have gone onto there facebook with no problems, its only my account,i have even tried to change the password to my account and that has made no difference.
If any one has any ideas i would be gratefull. Also my windows is spanish.

Ali, are the kids using the same computer as you?
yes they are.
It's telling you that you don't have a secure connection to the site , http instead of https.
Refreshing the page/f5 should cure it.

It is your security settings, why not download another browser. Crome, firefox and IE you can mod them all now and are all quite similar and will offer to import your favorites..

Clear all the cookies and history. Try CCleaner, or Glary Utilities. They are always worth using anyway, but if it's just your computer then that should clear it. :)
Are you using a bookmark or typing the address into the address bar ?.

update your browser and in options set as 'default' or 'recommended' settings.
http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95617&hl=en-US
Open a new tab, press Ctrl+Shift+I, select 'Console' and then enter 'https://mail.google.com ' (or whatever address is leading you to the red https) in the address bar of the new tab. Go back to Console and it should tell you which resources are triggering the problem
taken from google support forum try it

The part of your reply that still baffles me is that if your computer setting were wrong then why did it not affect other users?

Exactly as well,if anyone has the answer put it on a post card lol.I am still confused but like i said in begining it was only effecting my facebook, yahoo and ebay and everyone else could get on there facebook.
By the way i have black cloud over my head so its just my luck, but least some how it sorted.
